TORIC LENSES

Toric lenses are used in the treatment of astigmatism. Astigmatism is known as a refractive error that can be seen in both himermetropia and myopia. In the eyes with astigmatism, a distorted image appears because the distant and near vision types are impaired. In addition, objects with a normally round shape are seen in an oval shape. At night, the lights are more reflected and disturb the vision. Intraocular lenses are generally used in hypermetropia patients who have difficulty in seeing the near and far distance. However, it can also be used in patients over 40 years of age. The natural lens that lost its function in the intraocular lens is taken and replaced with a artificial lens. There are also lenses produced to correct the astigmatism. These are called toric lenses. Toric lenses are a kind of intraocular lens and are frequently used today. With the development of new technologies, many other lenses available. Nowadays, astigmatism as well as distant and close vision can be treated in surgical interventions. These intraocular lenses have successful results in astigmatism up to 6-7 degrees.

HOW IS THE SURGERY PERFORMED?

First, all necessary examination, measurement and tests are performed to the patient. Then, the most appropriate intraocular lens model is preferred by the physician. Toric lens applications are performed in the same way as the normal cataract surgery. In this operation, anesthesia is performed with drops. Then, the natural lens with the impaired function of the eye is removed and replaced with a toric (astigmatized) lens. The eye is closed with a bandage after surgery. This bandage is opened by the doctor during the day after the surgery. The patient can continue his / her daily life without any problems in the vision. The doctor then gives the drops to the patient and asks them to use the drops regularly. Routine controls are performed weekly and monthly after the surgery. After this operation, the patient is no longer suffering from astigmatism. The toric lens treatment lasts approximately 15 minutes.

Torische Linsen werden zur Behandlung von Astigmatismus eingesetzt. Astigmatismus ist als Brechungsfehler bekannt, der sowohl bei der Hypermetropie als auch bei der Myopie auftritt. Bei Augen mit Astigmatismus erscheint ein verzerrtes Bild, weil der Fern- und der Nahsichttyp beeinträchtigt sind. Darüber hinaus werden Objekte mit einer normalerweise runden Form in einer ovalen Form gesehen. Nachts werden die Lichter stärker reflektiert und stören die Sicht. Intraokularlinsen werden im Allgemeinen bei Hypermetropiepatienten verwendet, die Schwierigkeiten haben, den nahen und fernen Abstand zu sehen. Es kann jedoch auch bei Patienten über 40 Jahren angewendet werden. Die natürliche Linse, die ihre Funktion verloren hat, wird entnommen und durch eine künstliche Linse ersetzt. Es werden auch Linsen zur Korrektur des Astigmatismus hergestellt. Diese werden torische Linsen genannt. Torische Linsen sind eine Art Intraokularlinse und werden heute häufig verwendet. Mit der Entwicklung neuer Technologien stehen viele weitere Linsen zur Verfügung. Heutzutage können Astigmatismus sowie Fern- und Nahsicht bei chirurgischen Eingriffen behandelt werden. Diese Intraokularlinsen haben erfolgreiche Ergebnisse bei Astigmatismus bis zu 6-7 Grad.

WIE WIRD DIE CHIRURGIE DURCHGEFÜHRT?

Zunächst werden alle erforderlichen Untersuchungen, Messungen und Tests am Patienten durchgeführt. Dann wird das am besten geeignete Intraokularlinsenmodell vom Arzt ausgesucht. Torische Linsenanwendungen werden auf die gleiche Weise durchgeführt wie normale Kataraktoperationen. Bei dieser Operation wird die Anästhesie mit Tropfen durchgeführt. Dann wird die natürliche Linse mit der beeinträchtigten Augenfunktion entfernt und durch eine torische (astigmatisierte) Linse ersetzt. Nach der Operation wird das Auge mit einem Verband geschlossen. Dieser Verband wird am Tag nach der Operation vom Arzt geöffnet. Der Patient kann seinen Alltag ohne Sehstörungen fortsetzen. Der Arzt verscheibt dem Patienten Tropfen, die er regelmäßig zu verwenden hat. Routinekontrollen werden wöchentlich und monatlich nach der Operation durchgeführt. Nach dieser Operation leidet der Patient nicht mehr an Astigmatismus. Die torische Linsenbehandlung dauert ca. 15 Minuten.

Torische Linsenbehandlungen werden auf die gleiche Weise durchgeführt wie normale Kataraktoperationen. Diese Methode heilt auch im gleichen Prozess wie die Kataraktbehandlung. Die Methode weist keine Risikofaktoren auf, die in Zukunft die Inzidenz anderer Augenkrankheiten erhöhen könnten. Diese Methode beeinträchtigt auch andere chirurgische Eingriffe nicht. Torische Linsen sind High-Tech-Linsen, die von Patienten mit Astigmatismus sicher verwendet werden können.

Wenn der Patient aufgrund der Hornhaut Astigmatismus hat, kann der Astigmatismus mit einer Kataraktoperation mit einer torischen Linse korrigiert werden.

Torik Lensler

Torik lensler, astigmat tedavisinde kullanılmaktadır. Astigmat, hem himermetrop hem de miyopta görülebilen bir kırma kusuru olarak bilinmektedir. Asitgmatlı gözlerde uzak ve yakın iki görme çeşidi de bozulduğu için bulanık bir görüntü ortaya çıkmaktadır. Bu rahatsızlıkta ek olarak normalde yuvarlak bir şekli olan nesneler oval bir biçimde görülür. Geceleri ise ışıklar daha çok yansır ve gözü rahatsız eder. Göz içi lensler genellikle hem yakını hem de uzağı görme zorluğu yaşayan himermetrop hastalarda kullanılmaktadır. Bununla beraber 40 yaş üstü hastalarda da kullanılabilir. Göz içi lenste işlevini kaybeden doğal mercek alınır ve yerine sunu mercek takılır. Bununla beraber astigmatlı gözü düzeltmek amacıyla üretilen lensler de vardır. Bunlara ise torik lens adı verilmektedir. Torik lensler, göz içi lens çeşididir ve günümüzde sıklıkla kullanılmaktadır. Yeni teknolojilerin gelişmesiyle beraber, çok sayıda lens ve mercekler de kullanıma sunulmuştur. Artık cerrahi müdahalelerde uzak ve yakın görmenin yanı sıra astigmat da tedavi dilebilir hale gelmiştir. Bu göz içi lenslerde 6-7 dereceye kadar astigmat rahatsızlıklarında başarılı sonuçlar alınmaktadır.

AMELİYAT NASIL YAPILMAKTADIR?

Öncelikle hastaya gerekli muayene, ölçüm ve tetkikler yapılmaktadır. Daha sonra hastaya en uygun göz içi lens modeli hekim tarafından tercih edilir. Torik lens uygulamaları normal bir katarakt ameliyatı ile hemen hemen aynı şekilde yapılmaktadır. Bu ameliyatta önce damla ile anestezi yapılır. Daha sonra gözün içerisindeki işlevi bozulmuş halde olan doğal lens çıkarılır ve yerine torik (astigmatlı) lens yerleştirilir. Ameliyat sonrasında göz bandaj ile kapatılmaktadır. Bu bandaj ameliyattan sonraki gün kontrol sırasında doktor tarafından açılır. Hasta aynı gün içinde görmesinde herhangi bir sorun olmadan günlük yaşamına devam edebilir. Doktor daha sonra kendisinin belirlediği damlaları hastaya verir ve ameliyat sonrasında bu damlaların düzenli bir biçimde kullanılmasını ister. Ameliyattan sonra haftalık ve aylık olarak rutin kontroller gerçekleştirilir. Bu ameliyat sonrasında hasta artık astigmat şikayetinden de kurtulmuş olur. Torik lens tedavisi yaklaşık olarak 15 dakika kadar sürmektedir.

Torik lens tedavisi, standart katarakt ameliyatı ile aynı şekilde uygulanmaktadır. Bu yöntem de tıpkı katarakt tedavisi gibi aynı süreçte iyileşme görülür. Yöntemin gelecekte hastanın başka göz hastalıklarına yakalanmasını arttıran risk etmenleri bulunmamaktadır. Bu yöntem ayrıca başka cerrahi müdahalelere de engel olmaz. Torik lensler, astigmatı olan hastaların güvenle kullanabileceği yüksek teknoloji ile üretilen merceklerdir.

Bununla beraber eğer hastada korneaya bağlı astigmat sorunu varsa, katarakt ameliyatları sırasında torik lens ile astigmat düzeltilebilmektedir.
