What is Cornea?
Cornea is the name given to the dome-shaped transparent structure located in the outermost part of the eye. The cornea has two important functions for the eye.
What is Keratoconus?
Keratoconus is a condition that causes the cornea (the clear surface at the front of the eye) to gradually thin and swell into a cone shape.
Corneal Cross-Linking
Keratoconus, one of the most important corneal disorders, causes progressive thinning or deterioration of the cornea, including corneal swelling.
Intacs
In patients who cannot use contact lenses or who are not suitable for this lens, the use of an intracorneal ring is recommended unless keratoconus is advanced.
